[attr="class","aurback"] [attr="class","canonname"]SHI'IAN [attr="class","canondesc"]DESCRIPTION: Shi'ian is a land of bounty. At it's center is a large city which is the province's namesake. There is a citadel used by the ruling family as their home. The City stretches for miles in a circle with buildings and cobbled streets. There is a wall that surrounds the citadel, and another that surrounds the entirety of the city. Outside the city are small villages and farmland, where most of the food for the province is cultivated.
CLIMATE:
Summer: 95/day; 65/night Fall: 70/day; 56/night Winter: 50/day; 37/night Spring: 75/day; 60/night
RULERS:
King and Queen __________ Prince/Princess __________
GOVERNMENT: Monarchy
MAIN EXPORT: Weapons: Most blacksmiths move here from the Land of Ash due to the better weather and the wide open spaces they can work with. They rely on the brimstone from the Kingdom of Fire to make their weapons, but they are massed produced in the City.
HISTORY: Shi'ian's land was once part of other provinces. It stretched for many miles when the world was new and untouched by scars. As the years went by, the province began to shrink. Territories were fought over and claimed by one being or another. At some point the Celestials noted the beauty of the land and created the great city of Shi'ian. Here is where they flourished and it was the last stand against the wyrmkin when they tried to take over. | [attr="class","aurback"] [attr="class","canonname"]LAND OF ASH [attr="class","canondesc"]DESCRIPTION: This is the hottest part of the entire country. In the middle of the province is a dormant volcano, which still produces ash nearly twenty-four seven. Because of this, the sky above the land is covered in a thick fog of ash, and it leaves the city below dim during the day, and pitch black at night. The city tends to glow a dull orange-red, and those living there have come so accustomed to the smoke and ash they've actually learned to breathe normally, whereas visitors must cover their faces with cloths to help them. In the heart of the land is the Kingdom of Fire, a large city cloaked in the thickest of smoke and surrounded by cooled jagged lava. In the center of this kingdom, just below the mouth of the volcano sits Siren Castle. This is the home to one of the most powerful families in Aurmata.
CLIMATE:
Summer: Average temperature: 109/day; 89/night Fall: Average Temperature: 98/day; 83/night Winter: Average Temperature: 84/day; 80/night Spring: Average Temperature: 87/day; 83/night
RULERS:
King and Queen _______ Prince _______ Princess _______
GOVERNMENT: Monarchy - Dictatorship
MAIN EXPORT: Brimstone: Used by most of the other provinces to keep their fires going longer with less need for wood and constant tending. Also used in some places to keep their homes warm during the coldest months.
HISTORY: The Land of Ash is the oldest part of the island. Myth has it that is was created by a rejected god who was tossed from the skies and lies dormant inside the volcano. The people of the land are, for the most part, friendly, but tend to be a bit ruthless and snobbish when they come across visitors. Siren Castle was built from the cooled lava of Infierno, and has stood proudly for centuries. Some say it's protected by the God within the volcano, considering the leading family pays tributes - and sacrifices - to him. The ruling family, on the other hand, has not always ruled over the People of Ash. Their ancestors wanted to be more than just plain commoners and brought about the destruction of the first royal family through brute force and take over. Since then, no one has dared to try and take the kingdom from the current Family. | [attr="class","aurback"] [attr="class","canonname"]SHIVER MOUNTAINS [attr="class","canondesc"]DESCRIPTION: The mountains are constantly covered in snow, ice and jagged rocks. They are also extrememly steep and treacherous to climb. Of course, if you can actually stand around outside and not freeze your butt off, you're extremely lucky. The temperature rarely reaches above zero, and even if it did, the Queen herself would make sure it cooled down as quick as possible. While the land is devoted to their queen, they are absolutely cold-shouldered to any and all who 'dare' to tread upon their land. They also watch out for themselves and their families, so good will doesn't really go far here. At the base of the mountains is the City Of Crystals. One of the most powerful Kingdoms and home to Queen ________. Because she rules by herself her kingdom is seen as weak, and her land is always fought over. Wars bring about grumpy attitudes, along with the reoccurance of visitors, and this makes the inhabitants of the mountains very testy. The Ice Valley, which leads out to the Grasslands is slowly receding each year. Those who live in the valley fear they'll lose their homes.
CLIMATE:
Summer: Average temperature: 0 Fall: Average Temperature: -15 Winter: Average Temperature: -25 Spring: Average Temperature: -10
RULERS:
Queen _______ Princess _______
GOVERNMENT: Monarchy - Dictatorship
MAIN EXPORT: Emerald: From the mines beneath the mountain. Though not many venture into the mines anymore, so their supply is running low.
HISTORY: The mountains were once part of the River Country's territory. Back when the land was first formed, water sprites covered the entire land in water, making it nothing more then a large lake with a thin wall of land separating it from the sea. However, the land was fought for shortly after by creatures of the earth. They created enormous spires that shot up from the ground and caused floods all along the eastern part of the land. After a few centuries of constant feuding, a new player entered the game: a magick user who soon cast a spell over the earthen spires, covering them in a thick blanket of snow. Not only that, he created a barrier around his land, keeping all other magic and attacks of the land out. Queen ________ is a direct descendant to that magick'd myth, and as long as the the family rules over the land, then the snow will stay on the mountains, and none can take it. | [attr="class","aurback"] [attr="class","canonname"]ROCKY PLAINS [attr="class","canondesc"]DESCRIPTION: This desert reaches over a hundred miles at it's widest point. It's dry, and mainly consists of rock and dried out earth. It does have canyons, it's walls caked in centuries of red dirt and clay, and in some places you can find small pockets of water. The sun always shines, baking the land during the day, but at night the coldest winds from the North come and tends to freeze most anything. Boulderia is located in the center of this land, home to those known for their brutal force and blunt steel. They don't mind strangers, but they also don't advertise for guests to visit. And they don't take kindly to certain creatures. [Mostly Ice or Snow] Just past Boulderia is Tipo Canyon. This is basically just a massive hole in the ground, that goes on forever. While the canyon's walls are pretty to inspect and see, should you ever fall over the edge, you'll never be seen again.
CLIMATE:

RULERS:

GOVERNMENT: Monarchy
MAIN EXPORT: Glass: Made from the sand and pressurized contraptions and Magick'd beings who are great at crafting it.
HISTORY: The Rocky Plains has always just been a desert. No one wished to have any part of the land since it was ruined by Infierno before any sprites or magick'd could even think to claim it. The volcano's lava scorched the land, making it virtually impossible to grow anything green or full of life. Of course, one man's junk is another man's treasure. And soon the land was populated by creatures of all shapes and sizes. Mostly peaceful creatures who thrived off the sun and could go several days without the need of food or water. Eventually the land was cultivated, in a few, very small places. From here the Boulderia was formed, the only part of the land that holds any form of life. Well, intelligent life, anyways. | [attr="class","aurback"] [attr="class","canonname"]GRASSLANDS [attr="class","canondesc"]DESCRIPTION: This part of the land is covered in lush grass, flowers, and sprouts of forests stretching from the North of Aurmata to the South. Streams and brooks fill the small forests with character, along with the creatures that live on the land. Here there are several different tribes, all of them deeply connected to the earth. They live off the earth and do everything in their power to protect the land they reside on. They are the best at camouflage and half the time you don't even realize they're in front of you until you're being attacked. The People of the Soil are the main tribe, their Prince acts as an ambassador, a speaker for the land. However all major decisions must be made by a council consisting of the Prince, and all of the tribal leaders. The People of the Soil reside in Sakumati Village. The village is built in the massive forest in the South Western section of the land, with the kingdom and homes built inside the trunk of the trees, in the branches above, atop the earth, and under the soil below. There are so many different tribes located in the Grasslands, that the only way you can tell them apart is by their tribe attributes.

HISTORY: The Grasslands were always fought over. Everyone wanted to rule over the fertile land. By having control over it, they'd have control over a major portion of Aurmata. At one point the Riverlands resided over the land, and once they lost the territory of Shiver Mountains they constantly fought with them over control of the Grasslands. To the East none of the provinces wanted to take part in the fight. Mostly because in order to get the Grasslands they would have to cross the Spectral Forest, and that wasn't something anyone wanted to do. After a few centuries of fighting, a new group of beings emerged from the Grasslands and took a stand. The beings drove those from the Riverlands out and began putting up borders around their land. These beings became known as The People of Soil and broke up into separate tribes, all with equal power and a different position on the borders of their land. | [attr="class","aurback"] [attr="class","canonname"]RIVERLANDS [attr="class","canondesc"]DESCRIPTION: Rivers, streams, lakes and swamps cover this area of the land in so much water the earth is nearly transparent. However there are paths that go through the land and allows for foot traffic. The inhabitants of this country are not friendly, at all, and do not approve of visitors or strangers. In the North West corner of the land there is a massive water fall, instead of hearing the crashing of water upon rocks, the fall seems to laugh at you... or with you. Ookawa Kingdom is plaited on the side of a massive cliff near the falls, and like the rest of the country, it's surrounded by water. The rulers here are tricky and scheming, they rule with an iron fist, demand their laws are obeyed and don't mind sweeping the feet from under you and stabbing you in the back. King and Queen _______ now fight to reclaim their olden day strength, to drown out the Kingdoms that oppose them and rule Aurmata by themselves.

MAIN EXPORT: Fish: As well as other seafood, including shrimp, clams, oysters. They don't necessarily have the only fish in the kingdom, but the taste is much better than those from the oceans.
HISTORY: Water sprites and Fae built this land to it's modern-day glory. Their work actually spread over several other provinces, but as the land aged, and more creatures popped into the picture, they soon began to lose land and territories.
The ruler's have always ruled this land, grown from sprites to the ruthless Beings they are now. They once controlled the Shiver Mountains, and even the Grasslands, and they were quite happy owning almost half of Aurmata.
But, misfortune came upon the family and soon after they lost their territory in the Shiver Mountains, they lost the territory in the Grasslands. This caused the _______'s to become quite ruthless and to seclude themselves in their own little corner of the world. | [attr="class","aurback"] [attr="class","canonname"]SPECTRAL FOREST [attr="class","canondesc"]DESCRIPTION: This is a forest full of paranormal activity, where strange things happen on a daily basis. A stranger unknown. Disembodied footsteps. Or even a chilling scream are only some of the things that you can encounter when traveling through here. The forest is so full of trees there isn't a clearing in sight, nor does the sun ever reach the forest floor. There is an eerie green glow always surrounding you, a fog that seems to disorient and confuse you. Getting lost is literally, a nightmare.

HISTORY: The Spectral Forest is an anomaly to Aurmata. No one knows how or when it was created. But it has always been a part of the land. Mostly inhabited by daemons, moroi, and dark elves and fae, this province is rarely visited by wholesome characters. | [attr="class","aurback"] [attr="class","canonname"]DRAGON SANCTUARY [attr="class","canondesc"]DESCRIPTION: This area is just north of Shi'ian is only inhabited by wyrmkin. No one dares to try and visit the area, as they are fearful of the wyrm's actions. Daemon, moroi and fae rarely even try to visit their old masters, as they have found a sense of freedom and don't wish to be trapped by the wyrms once more. The sanctuary is surrounded on all sides by thick rock walls and spiked gates that make for an unfriendly invitation. While the wyrms were recuperating after having their magick taken away, they built reinforcements to keep any and all beings out of the only place they were welcome. Now that their powers are back, they are waiting for the best chance to strike.

HISTORY: The Sanctuary was nothing when the world was new. It was just a peaceful mountain without any inhabitants aside from the occasional sprite, fae or critters. When the world started to destroy itself, the Sanctuary became a key outpost for wyrmkins to take as they raged war on the celestials in Shi'ian. After the war was over, the wyrmkin were cornered here, they had built defenses and that was the only thing that kept them safe as the world started to go on and they were left powerless. While this isn't the only place that wyrmkin reside, it does have the highest population and is home to only wyrmkin. |

SHI'IAN When you look at the farmlands of Shi'ian you'll find a strong resemblance to that of a medieval English or Irish country side. Small villages spot the land and smaller, more quaint, castles sprout here and there. The City of Shi'ian itself is large and bustles with noise and activity. It's buildings are made of stone with trimmings of wood. The Citadel and some of the higher up homes are made from marble and limestone, giving the city a sparkly when you look at it from a distance. When you think of Shi'ian think of a medieval Great Britain.
LAND OF ASH
SHIVER MOUNTAINS
ROCKY PLAINS
GRASSLANDS The inhabitants of this province had a strong attachment to the land. They base each of their tribe off of flora and fauna. They tend to wear clothes made from cotton, which are light and easy to make. They also live within the trees or huts out in the Grasslands.
RIVERLANDS The Riverlands would more closely resemble a Scandinavian or Nordic culture. They have long boats made of wood that take them through the river paths and into the sea. They don't have large villages or cities, but rather small farms that pop up throughout the Riverlands. Ookawa Kingdom is a collection of small huts and some wood buildings, the largest being the home of the ruling family, and even then the home is not large and extravagant.
